The Walton Centre Hospital is located in Fazakerley, north Liverpool and is approximately 5 miles from Liverpool City Centre. 

Food & Drink at The Walton Centre

There is a Coffee shop/cafe on the ground floor of the Sid Watkins Building serving hot and cold drinks, soup, sandwiches, paninis, and snacks. The opening times are Monday- Friday 07:30 - 14:30 hours.

The Hospital Bistro is available in the main hospital building and is open 07:00-18:00 hours which serves a wider range of hot food. There are also cafes and coffee shops in the neighbouring Aintree Hospital and a larger canteen facility which has wider variety of food.  

 

Chaplaincy

Members of the Trust’s Chaplaincy team care offer support for people of all faiths or no faith  whether a patient, relative or friend. They visit wards several times a week and Holy Communion is offered to Catholic patients during these visits.

A priest provides 24 hour cover for emergencies and is available for the sacraments of Confession and Anointing of the Sick.

There is a small Chapel and Family Room available to patients and visitors for privacy, prayer, and reflection. This is situated on the first floor of the main hospital building.

 

Cash machine

A free to use cash machine is located in the reception area of the main hospital by the main entrance; and also, two cash machines are available in Aintree hospital. These are located in the main reception and also by the Costa coffee shop and restaurant at the back of the hospital.

Places to eat outside the hospital site

The nearest main road is called Longmoor Lane, and there is a row of shops including a subway and takeaway places. There are several retail parks nearby with popular chain restaurants such as McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut and Nandos. Supermarkets

There is a Tesco Express a 10 minute walk away from the hospital, turning right on Longmoor Lane, L10 9LA, open from 07:00 – 11:00 hours.  The nearest 24 hour supermarket is ASDA at Aintree Retail Park, near Switch Island and the M57 and M58. It is a 10-minute drive away and situated just past Aintree Shopping Park, L10 3LN.

You will also find a Lidl supermarket a short walk away which are open from early until late Monday to Saturday and on Sundays. Post code L9 9BY.

 

Post Office

Turn left onto Longmoor Lane to find a Post Office around a five-ten minute walk away, L9 9DB.
