This year’s Christmas campaign raised over £7,000 thanks to the generosity of patients, relatives and friends of The Walton Centre.

The campaign saw people write touching Christmas messages on parcel tags in return for a donation, with the messages then hung on a Christmas tree in the main reception of the hospital. Some of the messages were in tribute to loved ones, others thanked staff for their care and support.

Money was also raised through the sale of our charity Christmas cards, and staff taking part in various initiatives such as ‘Christmas Jumper Day’; Santa Dash (Estates/Facilities) and a Theatres department Christmas party.

The money will support our Home from Home unit, which offers relatives somewhere to stay whilst their loved one is receiving critical care at the hospital. The amount raised in our Christmas Campaign will ensure 117 families can stay an average of 3 nights in the Home from Home. Thank you to everyone who supported the Campaign!
