On the evening of May 1st 2023 my beautiful wife Jacqui Kirkwood collapsed and was rushed to Aintree Hospital (Fazakerley). She was found to have suffered a Catastrophic Brain Aneurysm, and was moved to the Walton Centre. The care she received was second to none. All the staff at the 'Neuro' were brilliant, they looked after her so well, even after we were told there was nothing they could do for her. The doctors declared her on the afternoon of May 2nd. She stayed on life support until the operation to donate her organs the next day. The respect given to my wife by all at the Centre was unbelievable. 'The walk of honour' was the best thing the staff could have done for her and I will always be in their debt for the care and respect they gave to my darling wife Jacqui. David Kirkwood
