The 2026 Essar Chester Half Marathon

Join the 2026 Essar Chester Half Marathon on Sunday 17th May!

The Essar Chester Half Marathon is one of the UK’s longest established and most highly regarded half marathons, starting and finishing in the historic Roman/Medieval international destination city of Chester. 

The predominately flat city and rural race route will be run entirely on closed roads. The Essar Chester Half Marathon is one of the events in the Chester Triple series - run all three for a Chester Triple medal!

Take Part

To participate, sign up directly via the event organiser’s website. Once you’ve registered, reach out to The Walton Centre Charity to let us know you’ll be fundraising for us. We’ll provide you with all the support you need, from fundraising tips to running vests, helping you represent our charity with pride.
