The huge outpouring of generosity in support of NHS staff, volunteers and patients, has raised an incredible £130 million for the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Appeal since the outbreak of the pandemic in March.

The Walton Centre Charity is one of over 230 member charities of NHS Charities Together, and as such have benefitted from this amazing support in the form of grants awarded to it by NHS Charities Together.

Since March, three grants have been received totalling £95,500, specifically to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of staff and volunteers, and to help them care for patients during the crisis.  Breakfasts/snackbags for staff; wellbeing packs to volunteers shielding; snack trolley for patients during visiting restrictions; and extra seating and shading in courtyards for breaks, are examples of some initiatives that have been made possible thanks to the incredible support from the public.

There are also plans to significantly improve staff break areas to provide more welcoming and restful environments, as well as refurbishing the junior doctors' mess.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the National Covid-19 Appeal - your contributions have made a real difference!
