On Saturday 30th September 2023, I will be hiking up Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh), the highest mountain in England and Wales, for The Walton Centre's 'Hike Snowdon'. The mountain is 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. We are doing this to raise funds for Walton Neuro Centre.

My Grandad Steven died of a brain tumour on 5th December 2010. I never met him, as I was born in July 2012. My Dad's cousin, Sue, also died of a brain tumour in 2020.

My Grandad had some treatment at The Walton Centre for a glioblastoma brain tumour. We are fundraising under 'SMART'. Over the years the SMARTies have raised over £20k for The Walton Centre and the Brain Tumour Charity (Brain Tumour UK). We worked with the Marina Dalglish Appeal to fund an iMRI scanner at Walton, with a £10K donation from us at SMART.

In memory of Grandad Steven and Aunty Sue, our aims are to raise awareness of brain tumours, and to raise funds for new research and treatments at Walton.

My Dad is also fundraising with me and his fundraising page is here.
