Our Home from Home has been provided by the charity, for relatives who need somewhere to stay after a patient has been admitted for urgent treatment.

There are eight ensuite bedrooms including two larger rooms which are suitable for families and for those with a disability.  The Fairclough Family room offers sofas, TV and a kitchenette and dining area; and there is a quiet room for anyone who would like a private space to relax.  There is a laundry, fully equipped for washing and drying; and free wifi for easy internet access.

The Home from Home is provided free to families who need it, thanks to our charity supporters. It costs approximately £50,000 per year to run the unit.

Football legend David Fairclough is helping to support our charity, a cause very close to his heart:

"I support this hospital in memory of my wife Jan, who died in The Walton Centre over 10 years ago. Although sadly she could not be saved, in the short time she spent on the intensive care unit, she received the most wonderful care and attention, by very skilled and compassionate staff.  For this our family will always be grateful. We are proud to have played an integral part in the Home from Home Appeal, and continue to support the charity wherever we can."

If you would like to help support families whose loved ones are undergoing life-saving treatment at the hospital, please make a donation to the Home from Home fund so we can continue providing this wonderful facility free of charge.
