On 2nd September 2022, Keely suffered a spontaneous subarachnoid haemorrhage whilst attending a family funeral in the North West. After being transferred from local A&E to the specialist Walton Centre in Liverpool she spent a week in intensive care before sadly passing away on 9th September 2022. During this traumatic period the question of where to stay whilst visiting Keely was answered very quickly and the accommodation provided by the Home from Home service allowed us to focus on helping Keely and being there for each other.

The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field. Over 100,000 patients are treated at the hospital each year with conditions ranging from head and spinal trauma injuries; brain and spine tumours; Epilipsy, MS, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson.

The Charity funds a variety of projects in the hospital including research, innovation, new technology and patient & family facilities.
