In February 2024 my son Josh, who was only 18 at the time, unexpectedly suffered a ruptured AVM (brain haemorrhage). He spent nearly 2 years being looked after and cared for by the staff at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, the countries only specialist neurological trust. He's now continuing his rehabilitation in Liverpool and looking forward to getting back on with his life.

In order to fundraise for the Walton Centre Charity I will be undertaking a series of events in 2026. These will be:-

September 2026 - National 3 Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scaefell Pike & Yr Wyddfa)
August 2026 Hadrians Wall Path - 84 miles from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend
12th September - Born Survivor Lancashire - because that's what Josh is!

This is my way of giving something back to the wonderful staff who have looked after Josh and the important research they do. Duncan Wareham
