Some of you reading this will know why The Walton Centre is so special to me. For those of you that don't, I had surgery there in 2021 to remove a brain tumour. I am indebted to my consultant & the wonderful team of staff & volunteers at The Walton Centre who, with their knowledge, expertise, compassion, understanding & kindness, do everything they can to look after, help & mend people like me. Thanks to them, I am loving life, enjoying time with family & friends old & new. I would like to do something for The Walton Centre in return & I need your help please. During the course of my recovery I've steadily resumed one of my favourite pastimes, which is running, & I've now decided to challenge myself to complete ten 10K races in ten months. I have one 10K race under my belt already after taking part in Oswestry's event in October 2023, so I've nine more 10K races to go, all before 15th August 2024. With your support I will find the energy and stamina to achieve this goal, so please sponsor me by giving whatever donation you can spare. Your donations will go to The Walton Centre's Sid Watkins Innovation Fund, which helps The Walton Centre buy and fund innovative healthcare & equipment. Please help me because your encouragement & generosity will enable us, together, to make a difference. Thank you. With love, Julia x
