Each year I participate in Hope Mountain and sadly for the second year running we are unable to take part in the hike, so I'm walking and cycling the 11 miles with Neil, my Husband and Johnny, our old Greyhound dog, in and around the village where we live.

It's not Hope Mountain, but we're lucky that we have Halewood Triangle Park and lots of farm land that the public can access, which is on our doorstep. Although, we will have to substitute the wild garlic fields and Welsh Mountain scenery with what's on offer locally, I think it's just as pretty and will more than suffice until we can visit Hope Mountain again and in keeping with tradition, we will finish the day off with our own BBQ and a beer or two!
