At the beginning of May my mum was admitted to the Walton Centre after having a nasty cycling accident and sustaining serious head injuries including a brain haemorrhage, as well as 17 fractures across her body. Despite the current COVID-19 situation, the care she received at the Walton Centre was amazing, which has lead to her to have a great recovery on the injury to her brain. Despite the fact there was no visitors at all to the hospital, they managed to keep us up to date on every piece of news. Because of this I am going to be running 100k in 30 days starting on 1st June 2020 to raise money for this amazing Hospital Foundation Trust.
The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field. Over 100,000 patients are treated at the hospital each year with conditions ranging from head and spinal trauma injuries; brain and spine tumours; Epilipsy, MS, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson.

The Charity funds a variety of projects in the hospital including research, innovation, new technology and patient & family facilities. Nicole Westley
