Danny Woods The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field. Over 100,000 patients are treated at the hospital each year with conditions ranging from head and spinal trauma injuries; brain and spine tumours; Epilipsy, MS, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson.

The Charity funds a variety of projects in the hospital including research, innovation, new technology and patient & family facilities.

I’ll be doing a mile and a quarter swim up the Dee Estuary on the 10th August, to raise money for a charity that have done so much for me in my everyday fight against Motor Neuropathy... All donations are appreciated and i say a big thank you in advance!

Although the fundraiser is the Big Tea, I’ll be the one getting dunked, although i’d much prefer to be having a brew and a biscuit or two.

I’ve been a patient at the Walton Centre since being transferred from Alder Hey and i’ve seen the work that goes into not only trying to find cures for these awful disorders but making sure that people like myself have the best quality of life possible!

Thank you again. Danny Woods
