How to join the festive fun and support a good cause

Christmas is just around the corner, and what better way to get into the spirit than by wearing a festive jumper? Whether it’s a classic reindeer, a cheeky elf, or a quirky snowman, there’s a jumper for everyone. And the best part is, you can also help raise money for a great cause: The Walton Centre Charity.

The Walton Centre Charity is the only charity dedicated to supporting the work of The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, the UK’s only specialist neurosciences trust. The charity funds research, equipment, and patient and staff welfare projects that make a difference to the lives of people with brain and spine conditions.

Money raised will go to our Christmas appeal, that supports our Home from Home - helping families stay together when their loved ones are undergoing urgent treatment at The Walton Centre.

On Thursday, 7th December, 2023, you can join thousands of people across the country who will be donning their festive knits and make a donation to The Walton Centre Charity. Whether it's you and your friends, your business, or your workplace, everyone can get involved.

It’s easy to take part, just follow these simple steps:

• Tell your friends, colleagues, staff that your taking part in Christmas Jumper Day for The Walton Centre Charity
• Choose your jumper. You can buy one from a shop, borrow one from a friend, or get creative and make your own. The more festive, the better!
• Wear your jumper on 7th December and share your photos on social media using the hashtag #ChristmasJumperDay. Don’t forget to tag us in on social media so we can see your amazing outfits!
• Donate to The Walton Centre Charity's Christmas Appeal. You can do this online or by downloading a sponsorship form. We have collection tins and buckets available - if you would like one please contact us to arrange. 
• Have fun and spread the word! Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to join you and support this worthy cause. We have posters that you can print and use to show your support. 

By taking part in Christmas Jumper Day 2023, you’ll not only have a lot of fun, but also make a difference to the lives of people with brain and spine conditions. Every penny you raise will help The Walton Centre Charity fund vital projects that improve patient care and outcomes.
