To give back
My name is Sarah Day I will be running my first 1/2 marathon on 17th October 2021. I wanted to do something special for my dads 70th birthday so I signed up to run the Swansea 1/2 marathon, to fundraise funds for the Walton centre who have treated and monitored my dad over the years. Due to covid I wasn't able to run last year but taking the challenge this year 2021.
My grandson is currently a patient at the Walton Centre.
In memory of our sister Carrie who passed away in January after contracting bacterial meningitis and falling into unconsciousness. The staff and team at Walton Centre cared for her with compassion and grace until she passed.
This is to say a massive thank-you to the Walton Centre’s amazing nurses, Neurologists and Neurosurgeons for everything they have done for me over the last 2 decades, which has culminated in surgery and the chance of a future without epilepsy! We hope to raise some money that will benefit the Walton Centre and help them to continue to support people with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
The Walton Centre treated my mum during her brave battle with cancer. The nurses and staff were wonderful and cared for her as if she was one their own closest family members. I would now like to give back to thank the nurses and honour my wonderful mum as well as fund research specifically in the Neuro Oncology for Brain Tumours.

We hope that this donation will express our gratitude for the support the whole team gave us during a deeply dif
